We have a HP LaserJet 2011TN, which is a grayscale laser printer. It has PostScript support, two papertrays and no duplex unit.
automagically
If you want to print something, the printer should appear on your printer list if you use Linux. Printing server (CUPS) is figurehead.
Printing is also possible by uploading a PostScript file to the FTP service on the printer.
own configuration
You can setup printing on your system with the following URL:
socket://printer
A PPD file is needed for installation.
administration
Ask the friendly networking team for assistance, if the printing server gets stuck or questions remain.
services on the printer
There is a Java based web frontend on the printer. It sucks.
Telnet is also available.
